Hello community,
Since some weeks I have some strange problems with Visual Studio 2012, because it gives me either the linker.exe error or the rc.exe error.
In both cases, I can't compile my project(s). It started just like that, I did not change anything with the program...
I am using SFML and I though at first, maybe it has something to do with it, but it turned out that it doesn't!
I want to build SFML like I always did with cmake, but it gives me the rc.exe error, so I can't build it and so I can't program anymore :(
The most annoying thing is, that re installing (or repairing) does not help at all, everything stays the same and the error(s) still happen(s), which really sucks to be honest.
I googled a lot and found just a few posts about this error and nothing helped me out. Someone said that they have to reproduce the problem, which I can totally understand, but for me this problem occurs all the time, no matter what I am trying
to do, it happens all the time.
I am using VS 2012 Ultimate and Windows 8 Pro.
Hopefully somebody can help me out, I really want to continue using VS ;)
Thanks a lot, Geheim8!
PS: I installed VS 2010 Express and I have the same issues with rc.exe error :/
