Hello,
I have been trying to install an application that requires Visual C++ visual 2013. It opens up the installer for Visual C++, but the installer just says 'Initializing...' and does nothing for about 20 minutes. At which point it says 'Setup Failed' and asks me to fix the issue (why I'm here) and gives me an 'error log'. When I clicked on it, it gave me this.

I found an installer for the 2010 version and ran it to see if the problem was related to the Application, my logic being that if a 2010 version from Microsoft site cannot install then it is not to do with the Application.
But when I ran the installer, it said that it could detect a newer version on the machine.
Looking my installed programs, I can see the 2013 version. I tried uninstalling them, but the uninstaller gets stuck on initializing the same way it does when installing.
I have spent a long time looking for anyone who has had similar symptoms but have only found cases that at least produce error messages. Also, if this post is in the wrong forum them by all means move it. I've never have to post as most problems have been previously solved by others but I really am reaching the end here.
If anyone needs more information I can provide I will, or if anyone could point me towards other threads that could help. I've likely come across them already, but I am a mere human. I might have missed some.
