Need to convert a C# .net 4 project to C++ native

I'm probly not going to get anywhere with this thread but lets give it a shot...

My project is around 2000 lines of highly compact code and I have optimized it as much as possible and I need it to go faster and I want to break free of the .net dependence so I want to convert it to C++ and I have been searching for days for the easiest way to do it.

Currently I think my best bet is to use the tangible C# to C++ converter, redesign the form (its very small) and wade thru all the errors replacing the .net bits with their native equivalents. But I'm still a rookie with C++ and I would do anything to avoid having to do all that!

I have had a look at crossnet.codeplex.com but I cant make heads or tails of it and its rather old.
