Stop Visual Studio (C++) 2012 from inserting //

$

When a single line comment is created (i.e. "// Some comment") and enter is pressed, two '/' characters are added to the beginning of the next line. How can I disable this feature? I searched the C++ options, but failed to find relevant options. I can't recall this feature ever being useful and it's reducing my ability to code efficiently. I have a number of add-ins and extensions (listed below), but I've been unable to find relevant settings in those as well. I've also tried disabling the add-ins/extensions, but that failed to make a difference.

Add-ins/Extensions

-------------------------------------

  1. Atomineer Pro
  2. Array Visualizer
  3. EnhancedCommentsCpp
  4. Microsoft Web Developer Tools
  5. Multi Language Spell Checker
  6. NuGet Package Manager
  7. Productivity Power Tools 2012
  8. Visual Studio 2012 Color Theme Editor
  9. Visual Studio Extensions for Windows Library for JavaScript
